This organization consists of nine highly dangerous S-Ranked Missing-Nins whose base of operations is currently unknown. When traveling the group moves in groups of two.

Akatsuki first appeared in manga chapter 139, and anime episode 80. The Leaf Sannin Orochimaru is a former member of this organization. The current goal of Akatsuki appears to capture and utilize the tailed beasts of the ancient world. The exact end of which is unknown.

Akatsuki member Hidan believes in a Jashin (Evil God) cult. He wears a beaded necklace with a charm bearing their symbol. He is very strict about following its rules, including praying before battle and ensuring some form of death comes out of it. After he has defeated his foe he also takes part in a bloody ritual using the religion's symbol. The rite involves laying on the symbol and driving a spike through his chest.

Originally founded by the ancestors of the Uchiha clan, the Konoha Military Police Corps are responsible for maintaining city peace and law enforcement.

The First Subdivision of the Corps once contained many members of the Uchiha clan. Uchiha Sasuke himself one day dreamed of joining his father in the Police Corps, but after his clan was wiped, his goal in life changed to finding and killing his brother Itachi.
